Yearn For Summer.

Lay me down in summer's hand
Lest e'er I should forget
Those fragrant meadows of my youth
Such memories beset.

In children's laughter hear my name
Such games we all did play
In sun kissed fields of flowing corn
Where I would yearn to stay

We'd climb upon the Summer's back
And ride with all our might
Our day's were filled with stories new
That filled our dreams at night.

Take me once more, just one more time,
To lands where time stood still
Where summer starts and never ends
And let me have my fill.
