The Lazy River...
Fresh, inspiring, silent, thoughtful
Overwhelming strength and beauty
Haven to the smallest creature
Coping well as is her duty
River has a tale for telling
Should you wish to hear it told
Silent Witness in our lifetime
Many secrets she must hold.
Flowing onwards never hampered
From her course with destiny
Majestic strength and inner calling
Knowing where she wants to be
So I sit beside her thoughtful
Mindful of my own existence
Taking time to understand her
and her path of least resistance
I'm reminded of my lifetime
Struggling through just one more day
Never taking easy options,
But that's life ...so come what may.
